All of my students have never been in a classroom setting before. COVID has kept them from a classroom experience and the excitement of learning in a classroom. It has been difficult to help them become interested in attending school every day and being able to be comfortable in their seats.
My Project
All of my students are entering a classroom setting for the first time in their academic career due to COVID. These resources will help promote learning by allowing students hands on activities and manipulatives in math. (Math standards:1.OA.1, 1.OA.B, 1.NBT.A, 1.G.A.1)
Students need to have social and emotional wellbeing with the help of stuffed animals, books and prize box.
Students are having a hard time sitting in their seats due to a lack of classroom setting offering them flexible seating with bendy chairs may help them focus on instruction. Funding this project will allow students the opportunity to have hands on ELA material to introduce reading. (ELA standards: RI.1.7, RF.1.2, w.1.7, Sl.1.2, L1.6)
