Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Learning a second language has a lot of challenges. There are a lot of academic words to learn and words to pronounce. There is so much to learn about the new culture and so much to experience. But when your students are feeling stressed or just having a bad day, the most exciting lessons won't make a change.
An improved calming center will help bring my students back to a good place.
With these furniture and décor items I have requested, the calming center will be improved. More students will be able to take a moment to breathe and get back into the proper headspace. The addition of the couch will provide a bigger seating area and the additional items will be used in the calming corner to provide relaxation and a positive ambience. Please help me provide the safe space needed to get my student back into learning a language. That is every Language teacher's goal.
