Help me give my students a permanent way to store their writing journals and class work folders. We currently have a broken cardboard mailbox that is falling apart. This would be so useful for years to come!

My Project
Having a classroom mailbox system allows my students to stay organized while also taking responsibility for their belongings. Each child is entitled to their own space where they store their daily essentials! Each of my kindergarteners has a daily folder and writing journal they store in their mailbox. Students put their completed and uncompleted work in these folders. If they finish something early, they know right where to go to grab any unfinished work. This creates an atmosphere of independence and responsibility in Kindergarten! Students take control of their free time and keep their work organized. Students also store their morning writing journals in these mailboxes. Each morning, when they finish their breakfast, they get their writing journal and write a sentence about the daily holiday! Having a wooden mail center would be much more sturdy and long-lasting. After years of use, our cardboard mailbox is falling apart. Please consider donating to help supply this useful tool to our classroom!
