This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Financial literacy begins with learning to count and making meaningful connections to the real world. The materials requested will allow my students to practice their counting skills and number recognition. I want my students to learn that math is key to financial literacy and future careers.

Career awareness is essential for children because it allows them to role-play multiple career possibilities.

The requested materials will help me teach about community workers and the importance of math skills. I can't wait for my students to read books about community workers and extend their knowledge by role-playing with the cash register, playing as a doctor, a barber, or a business owner.
