This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students in my classroom are the most eager in inquisitive group of youngsters I have encountered thus far! A famous quote in our classroom is: "Learning is not a spectator sport."

My students live and attend school in a very low socio-economic area in the San Fernando Valley.

Even though they do not have access to the 21st century technologies at home, they utilize every moment in the classroom to learn, research, and inquire. It would be such a benefit for my class to receive the donation of a Macbook Air in order to guide them toward proper financial literacy.

My Project

My students would benefit from having a Macbook Air in the classroom. I would be able to have access to financial literacy websites such as practicalmoneyskills.com, forbes.com, us mint.gov, and more. I would be the guide for them to use their critical thinking skills, researching the benefits of saving money and spending properly, and effectively implementing financial plans. The Macbook Air would be used as a center research resource. They would watch and listen to lessons on the Macbook Air about allowances and spending plans, money responsibility, and saving and investing.

My project will make a humongous difference in my classroom and in the lives of the current and future students I will be educating.

With the generous donation by PwC Charitable Foundation, my students will gain the knowledge of financial literacy. hey will be better equipped to face the challenges before them and make money-wise decisions at the same time.
