This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In first grade, we're learning how to count money which is essential for students to learn. It's a life skill. While many students learn how to count money, they may not know how much to pay during a transaction, how much money they should get back, or better yet how to sell or invest. I think that financial literacy should start at an early age because it will help shape our future investors, businessmen, and women, and also help children make good financial choices. This will also help them learn how to save money. This can all be accomplished by reading books about financial literacy and also having a dramatic play area during math centers!
