Financial Literacy Through Class Economy

My Project

I teach a classroom with 24 fourth grade students in a Title I school. I have a diverse group of students that can all benefit from understanding money and financial literacy.

Let's get these students on a path to successful financial literacy at a young age.

As these students use the math skills they are using during math regarding money to earn money through our classroom economy, they are becoming excited to buy prizes, treats, and privileges (like sitting in a special chair). They learn to work hard, save, and how to count out money.
