This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As a teacher in a Title I school, I face many challenges to help my students succeed. However, each student that enters my classroom has such a love of learning and desire to be successful.

These incredible learners are scientists, mathematicians, authors, readers, engineers, and thinkers.

Your donation will help these little minds access resources and technology to improve their learning on a daily basis. Each student comes in with different backgrounds, interests, and language abilities. Meeting their individual needs is my goal. Your generosity will help my students and I achieve new goals.

My Project

Having students from multiple grade levels can be a challenge. However, it can also be a wonderful way for students to learn from one another. Teaching financial literacy is an important skill for all ages. By helping fund this project, students will be able to learn through the use of the Apple iPad using an app called Bankaroo which serves as a virtual bank for children without being tied to a real bank account.

In addition, we will create a classroom economy where students can participate in real world examples of economics.

Using the checks, cards, and play money students will learn the valuable lesson of earning and saving money while tracking it all using the iPad and application.
