My Students

Technology in the 21st century classroom can help teach financial literacy! There are many money "apps" that my students can use on an iPad to help them learn how to identify, save, and use money.

I have twenty-three, eager-to-learn students.

My students come from a low income area. Over 80% of our students get free and reduced lunch. Our students need and deserve the best. Even though they face many struggles, they are held to high expectations, but are also able to meet those expectations. In our classroom, we are a community and work together as a family.

My Project

With an iPad and case, my students will be able to use different "apps" to help them learn money skills. There are many different applications that creatively educate children about money in a hands-on and 21st century way. They would be learning and having fun at the same time. This iPad will be used as part of everyday learning centers, so students could work independently. This will reach all learners and provide a visual for them. The apps that will be used on the iPad will go above and beyond just identifying money. They will open the gate to financial literacy The case that you provide will help protect this valuable tool that will be used in the classroom.
