My Project

My students are a joy for me because I learn so much from them. I love that despite my students coming from lower-income backgrounds, they come to school eager to learn. Most come from diverse backgrounds, so we have many enriched discussions and educate each other on different cultures and holidays. I believe in a comfortable learning environment and good humor, so we laugh often in my class.

I created this project, with a variety of resources, to creatively teach my students about the importance of financial literacy.

The Spots game, writing boards, markers, crayons, paper, folders, sentence strips, stickers, and whistle will all be used as different activity centers to teach students about the importance of money, spending, and saving. The tissue and wipes will be used to clean all student shared materials. My students are confident and ready to learn about finances with these supplies.
