Financial Literacy + Classroom Management

Help me give my students the opportunity to enhance their financial literacy skills to purchase things they love like games, healthy snacks and more.

My Project

I strive to make learning fun and exciting for my students. I decided to create a system where our students can learn financial literacy skills while earning money to purchase things they love.

Our classroom store will be full of their healthy snacks, favorite art tools, fruit snacks, chips, and uno cards for their hard work.

Each week students apply for a classroom job to earn a weekly salary. They complete 3 job applications and we hire our students based on the behavior displayed that week, plus their reasoning as to why they would be the best person for the job. They have the opportunity to earn bonuses as well. Bills and fines are also a factor in our classroom system to teach them about spending, saving, balancing their money.

Help us in creating a fun behavior management system that incorporates financial literacy and fosters their love of visual art, reading, math, and writing.
