My Project

I am striving to create an organized classroom library for my 6th and 8th graders and a separate reading area within the room. Many of my students do not have access to books OR a quiet reading environment at home.

The Storex small cubby bins I am requesting will help organize books by genre and will be easily accessible to the students.

Organizing the books in small cubby bins allows the students to pull out bins and peruse books within the same genre. If students are able to see book covers, rather than just the spine, they will be more apt to pick up a book, open it, and read it! An electrical pencil sharpener in the library vicinity will make checking out books effortless as opposed to searching backpacks for a sharpened pencil. A nice standing lamp will enhance the library's atmosphere.
