This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are always up for a challenge when learning something new. When they can't find a way to do or figure out a situation they look at it from a different perspective or ask for any ideas. Some students want to be given more challenges and new hands on activities to learn. My students always impress me with something new.
My Project
The use of paper will increase organizational skills. Note taking skills will build comprehension on lessons discussed in the classroom. The use of calculators will help introduce new learning skills about the functions of certain keys. For example, square root, cube root, and other mathematical functions. Using the workshop model in math, students collaborate in teams for guided practice and model lesson videos. The calculators allow them to solve math problems more effectively, and it will provide an easy place for them to show and share their work. By using more effective resources of technology, students will be able to avoid some of these problems and focus on increasing their learning!
