My Students
Travel and hands on experiences outside the classroom are rapidly becoming an integral part of the college application process. However, low-income students are being left behind when it comes to these life-changing and enriching opportunities. Help us change that with the International Leadership Program (ILP)!
Work hard.
Be nice. These simple words have been instilled in the students since middle school. They are the reasons these three students are so successful in their AP classrooms and beyond, striving for academic and character excellence. These are the reasons they are so excited to participate in ILP in India this summer.
My Project
The program prepares students for this life-changing experience with four months of preparatory leadership workshops with the goal of designing a student leadership project for students to roll out upon their return from India. Once students have traveled halfway around the world, they will visit famous sights and have the unique experience of living with a local family in a village. From the village they will be able to volunteer in the local school, passing their knowledge and work ethic on to Indian students and gaining an enriched perspective of their own place in our increasingly globalized world.
I was blessed with the opportunity to travel to India after my freshman year in college and it changed my life forever.
I want to share this enlightening experience with my students, to broaden their perspectives, give them an opportunity to give back and to experience the world. Thank you so much for your support!
