My Students

I teach at a STEM middle school, a program where everything is cross-curricular and STEAM based. Students direct their own learning and find their own answers. We solve real-world problems and use critical thinking. Students push themselves to critically think, collaborate and create. Walk into our classroom and you'll step over students' stability balls and stools for seating to watch production at our multiple green screens.

Providing them with more resources to do this will empower them to become better filmmakers and better learners.

My Project

My students hope to add lightbulbs, LED lights, a ring light and a much need toolbox to our program. Since this STEM/STEAM based program serves a majority of the student body, we are always looking for ways to incorporate science and technology into our learning.

An essential part of a film production set is lighting.

For students to better understand the science of lighting, we hope to add different types of lights to our program.

In adding to our inventory, we hope to add a new equipment to allow for even more productions and opportunities for students to create films during school and in our new after-school club.
