Filling Up the Bucket: Kindergarten

My students need Hot Dots and batteries to keep them going. We love to have fun while learning and the Hot Dot program is a great way to do it.

My Students

A typical day in my classroom would be comparable to a Magic School Bus episode. Although we do not change size or end up in a pie we do learn a lot! My students are investigators with tons of questions and even more answers. They are curious and very excited to learn.

My students are mini adults who love to share their ideas and random thoughts with each other.

Our school is located in Brooklyn's East New York. Students receive free breakfast and lunch daily. The school is predominantly African American and Hispanic. Our classroom is a second home to students with a variety of learning disabilities.

My Project

The Hot Dots are fun and interactive way for my students to build comprehension. In addition, this program is confidence-building due to audio and light effects which encourage the students with immediate feedback. Students will build on their literacy and math skills through the use of this program.

The Hot Dots program will help my students build on their fundamental math and reading skills.

In addition, it will also aid in increasing their confidence academically and socially.
