This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students and I recently cleaned and organized our classroom library. Together we came up with titles and themes of books that we would want to add to our library. Along with new books, book bags will be helpful to contain borrowed books in their desks. The book bags will also be used for bringing the books to and from home.

My students love feeling ownership of our classroom library.

Organizing the books helps them know where everything belongs. Picking new titles gets them excited to read. This excitement drives them to become better readers.
