Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love that all of my students absolutely love to read! They love to read so much, that I have trouble keeping books on our library shelves. These kids just get so excited when they see new books! Many of my students do not have many books in their homes.
These new books such as Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Bad Kitty Gets a Phone and Dragon in the Library will be added into circulation for our entire school to be able to use and enjoy.
These new books will help to build our students vocabulary, reading fluency, reading comprehension and their self esteem.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
