Filling in Holes in Student Learning

Help me give my students a new novel to read and study in class. I believe students will greatly enjoy reading this together.

My Project

My students are in need of a new book to read and study in class. Some of the options that I have available to me are ones that my students have not enjoyed. After discussing what types of books they would be interested in reading, I think Holes by Louis Sachar will be a great choice.

I strive to foster a love of reading in my classroom and I know that I can't do that unless I find books and stories that my students are interested in.

Holes is a book that I read when I was in middle school, and I have never forgotten it. Another classroom in my school used this book, and the teacher reported that it was a hit with her students! I believe this will be a great choice.
