Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a new 5th-grade teacher this year, I’m excited to create a welcoming and supportive classroom where every student feels prepared and valued.

Many of my students may come to school without the basic supplies they need, and I want to make sure that’s never a barrier to their learning.

Markers and colored pencils will allow students to creatively show their thinking in projects, journals, and visual assignments, helping them better engage with the material. The books included will help spark a love of reading and provide students with access to diverse, engaging stories that expand their imaginations and build literacy skills.

These resources will help me start the year strong and ensure every student has what they need to succeed, right from day one.
