This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are dreamers, believers, and leaders. They are kind, inquisitive, and hardworking. In my class, most students are English Language Learners, with 65% of the students at the school speaking a first language other than English. Because we are a full inclusion school, many of my students also have a variety of disabilities.

The school serves a high-poverty area in Boston, and the faculty and staff are committed to providing our students with the best education, for they deserve nothing less.

My Project

Once again I am asking for healthy snacks for my students. I had a similar project completed last school year and I cannot emphasize enough the positive impact it had on my classroom. Having healthy snacks readily available allowed my students to work hard without the distraction of hunger.

No student should have to battle an empty stomach while trying to learn.

For many of my students, our school is their main food provider, as students receive free breakfast and lunch each day. However, my pre-teen students can get very hungry ​between meals, which is not conducive to learning. Please consider donating to this project so my students can grow physically and mentally.
