My Students
My 16 spunky preschoolers come to school daily ready to learn and play! Our school is located in a large urban city and is predominantly a Title One funded school.
Age appropriate lessons, and hands-on meaningful experiences, are key when teaching preschool children.
It is mandatory that I have enough materials for all my students in order to run my groups and lessons successfully. I try to teach independence and decision making which helps to empower the students. Their choices matter and I like to offer them many!
My Project
It has come to my attention this year that my students' families are having a hard time buying the basic essentials for them. I have written this project to help fill the backpacks I have for the kids which will be given to them soon.
The basic essentials items on my wish list will go in the backpacks to help keep my students warm and safe this Winter.
New socks, warm hats and mittens are essentials in our state, and basic school supplies like glue and crayons are always needed for homework and projects. I have included books to give to the kids this year as they need to build their "at home libraries" to ensure successful readers.
