My students need PLA filament for use in their Makerbot Mini.
FULLY FUNDED! Mr. Bonneur's classroom raised $165
This project is fully funded
My Students
The art students at MJHS have lit up with excitement over their Makerbot Mini. Their computer designs have come to life. They are in need of plastic filament to continue their designing.
The students are enthusiastic about the changing landscape of technology and how their artistic creativity can benefit from these changes.
They live in a rural area and sometimes feel as if they are the last to benefit from the latest technological advances.
My Project
The students are already quite familiar with 3D design programs, having spent several weeks using Google SketchUp to design architecture. With the Makerbot Mini, students are able to convert their structures from feet to millimeters and print out using the plastic filament requested.
Enthusiasm is instrumental in learning and getting information to stick.
The excitement of new and upcoming technologies motivates students to come to class each day to see what exciting new objects were produced the previous day.
More than a third of students from low‑income households
