My Students
We have been full on distance learning from Spring Break until we finished on the 8th of May. My students were required to complete online assignments and send me pictures. I had several students without devices that didn't participate or had to wait until a parent got off work to do their assignments. With all the talk of beginning distance learning in the Fall, I want to be prepared to meet each child's needs.
My Project
We left for Spring Break this year and never returned. The kids did not have their school supplies at home and couldn't go into stores at that point. This way if we do begin the year distance learning my students do not have to worry about getting out to get the supplies they need. We know in 1st grade the students cannot do online learning all the time, they need to practice their fine motor skills. Giving the students a filled pencil box and a few journals and notebook they have a great start to the year.
