My Students
My students and I are blessed to learn at a beautiful, rural school in South Carolina. While the outside may look like your typical elementary school, you will quickly feel the difference once you walk through our front entrance. We are on the positive energy bus. My students are learning that they can drive their own "bus" by creating a positive vision and "driving" with a purpose. They are learning to transform their negativity and "fuel their ride" and others with positive energy!
While many of my students have faced obstacles and challenges in and out of school, they are learning the power of positive energy!
We celebrate success as a classroom family and encourage each other to try our best every day. If you entered our classroom, you would hear us excited to learn by shouting, "Yes, Yes, Yes" and cheering our classmates on with our Energy Bus Cheer, "You're Awesome, You're the Best, You Rock!" We have worked hard to create a positive, supportive classroom family where all students are encouraged and supported to try something new. My students love to learn and share their learning with others. It is truly a great place to learn!
My Project
My students LOVE to read books but also love being able to sit and listen to a story. We recently got a great listening station funded and now we need help filling our bookshelves with read alongs!
With level-appropriate text and lots of enticing pictures, these read along books are specially selected to meet the needs of beginning students, helping them become competent, successful and enthusiastic readers!
This set of books includes: I Went Walking, It Look Like Spilt Milk, Shoes, Rosie's Walk and Sheep in Jeep. This kit provides us with 4 copies of each book and the CD to narrate the story. These are all classic stories that students love to listen to again and again!
