Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have an amazing group of 20 PreK students! This year school is looking a lot different but we are going to make the best of it! Our school is a Title I school in a high poverty area where all of our students receive free lunch and breakfast. Many of my students are learning English as a second language.
Despite all of this, my students are still eager learners.
They work hard every day by putting forth their best effort. They are so excited to learn each and every day!
My students are creative and love to learn!
My Project
The Scholastic Magazines and ABC Rocks will be a vital part of my reading curriculum. The Felt Board Weather set will be an important part of my daily calendar time.
These tools will provide my student's with so many opportunities to grow in their learning!
The Magazines will be a great reading material that will give each student the ability to practice vital reading skills, learning non-fiction content, practice skills from other content areas, and will give them the opportunity to take home more reading materials! The ABC Rocks will be a great manipulative to practice letter recognition, writing skills, and exploring! The weather felt board set will be part of my daily calendar time. It will give students an opportunity to interact and manipulate the materials, thus making it a more meaningful learning opportunity
