My Project
We are requesting items that allow our students with disabilities a different and more engaging way to learn. For example, we have requested Groove Calligraphy Magic Copybook Learn to Write which allows our students to have a template for writing each letter and establish the motor pattern which improves their learning and retention.
LEGO Minecraft The Ice Castle, PicassoTiles 100 Piece Set, to name a few that help our students learn following directions, participating in a group, reading the directions, using visuals and play while including math, color recognition and counting.
We are also including books with the sensory toys to make reading engaging and the sensory boxes to incorporate the students senses to retain the information and be able to engage more fully in the book.
With your help, we can add these items to enrich our students' lives, teach diversity in learning styles, and work on increasing our independence.
