Fill Bellies to Support Hungry Minds

Help me give my students full bellies that will fuel minds ready to learn!

My Project

The first thing I check with my students when I see them struggle is whether or not they've eaten today. Students can't learn or even regulate emotions well if their basic needs are not met first. Frequently my pickiest eaters are the ones who try to survive a school day without a meal because they don't like anything on the menu.

Having options means all students have food available and no one in my classroom goes hungry.

I plan to provide snacks on a daily basis for all students who want one. I also want to have warm microwavable food available for the students who wouldn't eat lunch because the cafeteria served the dreaded pesto pasta that day. Please help me make this classroom a safe, comfortable space that meets the needs of all students.
