it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are creative thinkers, and diverse learners who challenge me and make me laugh every day. However, as special education students, they also struggle academically, behaviorally, and emotionally. The Learning Center is a suite of classrooms within our school where students can access the support they need to be successful. These supports extend beyond the scope of academics. My students also seek out the Learning Center for a safe place to take risks, a person to listen to, a confidence boost, a snack when they've missed a meal, or a personal need that can't be met at home.
