Help me give my students warmth as they walk to school. Hat and gloves for my middle school students will provide them with self care that they need.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As the weather changes, my students will need hats and gloves to keep them from getting sick.
Many of my students walk to school and lack proper winter clothing to keep them warm.
My students lack the proper winter attire because of thier socio-economic circumstances. I have more students than usual that lack proper winter attire. Providing my students with hats and gloves will enhance their opportunity to attend school. Students who lack sufficient warm clothing also tend to have a high absence during the winter months. It is imperative that they are at school as much as possible.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
