This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Receiving supplies to connect information to my students.

My students struggle to have supplies within the classroom that allows them to grow and utilize what they need.

Often the students come to class without supplies or need additional supplies that the families or school are unable to provide. These additional supplies help the classroom run smoothly.

My students struggle in math, so math supplies will be incredibly helpful to encourage their growth in math. They are low in their math skills and benefit from supplies that are both tactile and allow students to increase their understanding and ability.

My intention in my classroom is to have it be a warm and welcoming space where students are able to connect and feel at home. This space is where they can learn without judgement and where they can feel successful. To do this I make sure that the students have a space where they can learn and connect with each other. Furniture that is warm, welcoming, and allows them flexibility is important to finding and connecting with space.
