Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My school is a Title 1 school, where many of my students come from diverse backgrounds and face various challenges. Despite these obstacles, they show incredible resilience, curiosity, and determination every single day. Many of my students are English Language Learners, working hard to succeed in both languages, and they inspire me with their drive to overcome any hurdle.

We’re gearing up for an exciting field trip to the Science Museum, and I want to ensure that every student has the supplies they need to enjoy the experience fully.

That’s why we’re creating this project. I want to provide personalized care packages for each student to ensure they’re prepared, safe, and comfortable during our upcoming field trip. These care kits will include sunblock to protect them from the sun, hand sanitizer and tissues to stay clean, and a customizable pouch with room for snacks. Each pouch will be personalized with fun iron-on patches, so students can make their pouch truly their own.

These supplies will ensure my students are not only safe and healthy but also feel confident and proud as they step outside the classroom and into this new adventure.
