My Project
We read every day about the need for students to read more and it just isn't in their Language Arts class. I am striving to have students learn through reading and doing. This project has 2 purposes. The first is the Origin of Species (revised for a middle school audience). We talk about Charles Darwin later in the year, but these books will be available to my students throughout the year. At the same time, I will have my students interact with the natural environment on campus and in the city.
They need field microscopes to get up close and explore the natural world.
It is one thing to walk in nature, but another to be up close and explore it on its level. These microscopes will delight and inspiring the students to see nature on their level.
Your donations are key to bringing nature to life for my students. We have a diverse population of students. I teach honors and gen-ed classes. My classes are filled with eager learners, whether gifted, English Language Learners, or students with disabilities. Nature is the one area that delights all learners and I thank you for your willingness to help us bring this project to life.
