In my classroom, I use many different methods of helping children learn based on their learning styles and sensory needs.
My students have a huge range of sensory needs and preferences.
They are active kids that require different methods to channel their energy to improve their focus on their work. My students need to be focused so that they can do their best. I want to give them access to a variety of options that can help them stay focused and increase their time on task.
My Project
How do fidgets help children focus? Research suggests that physical activity increases ones ability to stay on task. Doing two things at once has been found to help focus the brain on the primary task. If my students have a variety of "fidgets"including such as stress balls, theraputic putty and exercise bands available to them, they stand a better chance of staying on task while completing their assignments. Ball chairs and wobble cushions will also allow children to move their bodies while they work.
With the help of generous donations, my students will have access to a wide variety of tools that will help them move and fidget in an effort to improve their concentration and focus!
I believe the items I have requested will make a huge difference on my students' motivation and performance!
