My Project
Students are special needs and require social emotional learning. This project will help me provide students with rewards for desired behavior. Also, fidgets to assist with de-escalation and calming down when the students are frustrated or upset. Students engage in Yoga on a daily basis, in order to teach each student a coping strategy that can be done at school or at home. Some students prefer a hug for their coping strategy, and this is why I selected several weighted stuffed animals to help students who require this type of strategy.
