My Students

My students have a thirst for knowledge and smiles that light up any room, and they celebrate each new skill. My students also have a wide range of identified needs such as learning delays, developmental delays, Autism, and physical impairments. Additionally, many of my students are facing issues such as homelessness, poverty, and other traumatic issues.

Special needs students deserve a great education. This is what I strive to provide every day, but, sometimes I need help. When that happens, I turn to you and DonorsChoose!

My Project

The main goal of this project is providing quiet fidgets for students to help them maintain focus in the classroom, especially during subjects that require sustained attention, such as math.

I specifically selected quiet fidgets, such as the keychain fidget, that allows for quiet movements.

The fidgets are also not very visual so the students will not be distracted by looking at them, such as the stretchy string. Another great fidget in this project is the zipper fidget. This is intended for the younger students so they can wear the fidget and not lose track of it.

This project also includes comfortable headphones for students to focus on their work and reduce classroom noise. I've also included a bean bag chair refill to bring our beloved bean bag chair bag to life.
