This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

“All children can learn, just not in the same way, or on the same day.” As a special education teacher this is what we live by day in and day out. Our campus is a Title I school, where most students are economically disadvantaged and English emergent learners.

This new project is to supply our classroom with incentives for good behavior, class participation, and a job well done on their tests and assignments.

Students can earn prizes by collecting stars and exchanging them for prizes. Your donation will be used to purchase a variety of small prizes the students can choose from.

My Project

In a time where attendance at school is low, teachers are constantly trying to find new ways to incentivize students to come to school. Once they are here, we want the students to participate in class and do well on their assignments and tests.

In my classroom, we have a token economy.

This means that students earn a star when they come to class, participate, and complete their work. When they collect 10 stars they earn a prize from the prize box. That is where this Donors Choose project comes in. Purchasing rewards for the students to choose from can become costly. I humbly ask for your donation to help me keep our classroom token economy successful and interesting for my students by providing them with some of today's most popular fidgets, pencils, erasers, and other interesting goodies. Thank you!
