Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My super energetic amazing K-2 students on the Autism spectrum are some of the most wonderful people that I know. They love to come to school and learn. They get so excited that sometimes they have difficulty focusing and self-regulating. My students have multiple sensory issues, and therefore there is no single strategy that works for all of them.
We are requesting fidget toys, play dough, spinners, and a variety of other sensory items/toys that will help them refocus when they are struggling.
Our students have so many obstacles to overcome, and we strive to give them every opportunity to succeed and learn self-regulation skills.
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
