Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My vibrant, inquisitive, high-energy students come from diverse backgrounds and varied learning abilities.

I know my students carry the potential to succeed in the face of challenges in and out of school. My school is Title 1 with 100% free breakfast and lunch, and our vision focuses on career and college readiness. My unique students hail from around the world with different learning abilities and make my classroom special.

My Project

This past year, I transitioned my classroom into a flexible seating classroom. The kids love it and so do I; however, I have limited seating options in my learning areas. Some students are still sitting on their feet or standing up. I feel the Safco Alphabetter stand-up desks are ideal for my students that have difficulties sitting still. The desks are safe and provide students access to fidget freely with the swinging footrest bar. As a result, students can focus on their learning without distracting others.

Additionally, the ECR4 Dry Erase Whiteboard table will be an enormous asset for group collaboration and student engagement.

The ECR4 Dry Erase Whiteboard is a paper-less, fun alternative for small reading groups and math centers.
