Fidget Fun, Games, and Rewards

My Project

This project is to refill my calm box, prize box, and game box for the next school year. My calm box has fidget toys in it that students are able to use when they need a few minutes to calm their nerves or refocus. This helps students take a quick break and come back to class refocused and ready to learn.

Student earn prizes from earning points for good behavior, winning games, or doing something above and beyond.

I would like to refill the prize box with exciting items that students will be motivated to earn such as pop-its, squishy animals, and keychains. Students have a point chart in their folder that they color in each day. They fill in their chart at the end of the day, and when they reach 100 they get to pick a prize. We also play reading and math games to reenforce skills and students can earn a prize for winning the game. Finally, if I see a student doing something above and beyond when they think no one is watching, I will let them know they can go pick a prize.

My game box has teacher made games, and I am in need of new decks of cards to fill it with for math games. Students often pick a game during small group time and over the years cards get ripped or lost. I would love to be able to refill these three boxes in my room for the new school year.
