it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am incredibly lucky to work with a group of bright, creative, and energetic students. They bring a unique perspective to the classroom, and their enthusiasm for learning is contagious. However, many of my students struggle with staying focused for long periods due to sensory needs and hyperactivity. That’s where the resources I’m requesting—BouncyBand Sensory Soft Squeeze Seats and Wobble Chairs—will make a real difference.
These sensory-friendly seating options will allow my students to move in a way that doesn’t disrupt their learning or that of others.
The BouncyBand Sensory Soft Squeeze Seat will provide a calming, tactile outlet for students who need to release energy while staying seated. The Wobble Chairs will give students the freedom to rock and spin, which can help them concentrate better by satisfying their need for movement. With these tools, students will be able to focus more on the lesson, improve their attention span, and engage with the material in a way that works for them.
My goal for this project is to create an environment where all my students, especially those with sensory processing needs, can thrive. I want them to feel comfortable and supported in the classroom, and these items will allow them to do that. My students are special because they each have unique learning styles, and with the right resources, they can all succeed. I believe these sensory tools will make a lasting impact on their education by giving them the support they need to stay engaged and focused.
