My students need 2 wobble chairs to address their sensory needs. These chairs will enable my students the movement they need while allowing them to focus on the lesson or task at hand.
My students attend a Title I school in a high needs area where they receive free breakfast and lunch each day. Many of these students live in poverty. My 3rd grade class consists of students with disabilities. The students are classified as having speech and language disabilities and learning disabilities. Some of the students have been diagnosed with ADD/ADHD. Most of the students receive occupational therapy to address their needs. Fund this project and my students will have the opportunity to focus in the classroom.
My Project
Funding this project will help the students in my class. The wobble chair is like an exercise ball and a kids stool combined into one. It is fun and safe life changer for kids with certain disabilities. Aggressive wobbling on this chair increases blood to the brain and therefore quiets the need for a fidgety kid to move. This enables kids to learn better and be more productive students.
The wobble chair provides an outlet for restlessness and extra energy.
My kids can be active and remain seated simultaneously. Imagine the change in the productivity level of these students when seated in these chairs!
