Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Students in the Special Education program needs extra resources to gain access to learning. These students will struggle with the transition from distance learning to in-person learning. They will need an environment that helps ease them through the transition.
This year, my students have been very resilient throughout the face of the pandemic.
They have been facing a lot of uncertainty and fear during the school year. They are intelligent, courageous, and creative young men and women who are looking to make a difference in their communities. I hope to encourage them by helping them by creating a space where they feel safe and comfortable.
My Project
With the development of the vaccine and schools beginning to plan for reopening, students are likely to go back to the classroom soon. However, with Distance Learning, a lot of students are used to the comfort of home while they learn.
Please help me make my classroom a place where students can transition back to a campus setting.
The seat cushions, exercise balls, and fidget toys allow students to fidget without disrupting the classroom. They are also better for posture and more comfortable.
The students are used to being able to snack while learning so having healthy snacks and beverages will be helpful to students as they transition back to the classroom.
