My Project

Anatomy and physiology is part of our curriculum and dissecting fetal pigs gives students the opportunity to see the actual body cavity and make connections through exploration.

The students at my school look forward to this unit and are fascinated when discovering how the organ systems symbiotically work together to make up an organism.

After doing research I settled on fetal pigs for the sole reason they are not raised for dissection purposes. They are also closely related to how the human body works and students make those connections rather quickly and generally take more away from this unit due to the similarities.
