My Project
Most of our young ladies are either just starting their menstrual cycle or are about to start. Unfortunately, many of our students are also being raised by guardians who are not their parents and conversations about their cycle are not happening or they just don't have the resources.
A part of my job is to create feminine hygiene kits for students to have throughout the building.
The school provides some menstrual pads; however they are very small, and the students often have accidents when wearing them.
Using my own money, I bought different sizes of pads which were extremely helpful. The students experienced less leaking and felt more comfortable while on their cycle.
