My Project

Let me give you a peek into our speech room. My students are the sweetest, cutest darlings. They are also language-delayed. Which means, that they need special ways to learn the language. Each week or two, I choose a book that is easy and repetitive. Each book comes with visual and sensory aids. I find that felt pictures for each story help them learn new vocabulary and story sequencing. So each session, we use our felt board with pieces that match the story and games to learn language. My students love it and they do not realize that they are learning while learning new skills and vocabulary. With your wonderful help, my darlings will get more access to the wonderful stories.
