it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are eager to learn and love coming to school! Most of my students are low income and have a harder life then they should.
I strive to give my students the best learning environment possible by giving them access to things they may not have at home, as well as a safe space to be themselves and be creative.
My students are a joy to be around and make my day every day! They work really hard so we can be silly and have fun while we learn. I got one special class this year, filled with so many great learners and so many big hearts.
My Project
Emotions can be difficult to understand for children. Many students are starting their first year of school, others their second year and it is hard to adjust. Many emotions come out in students and they need to learn how they can overcome their emotions.
Help me give my students the opportunity to learn about their emotions and ways that they are able to deal with them so that they can be successful in the classroom and in life.
Students need to learn how to play together. Learning how to express their emotions is a huge step to getting them to where they need to be. Books are engaging and have many meanings to them that we will be able to talk about and give examples that are similar to what they have to deal with every day. Having this project funded will give me many books to help my students learn about their feelings.
