This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have a class of 18 energetic, eager to learn, adorable 5 year old students. For my class project, "Feelings Matter! Let's Grow In Kindergarten," I am asking for calm down cubes, social-emotional match-ups, match and sort social-emotional stories, a fill a bucket storytelling kit and book, a feelings book series, and a find your feelings emotion slider. These resources will help my students learn by helping children develop essential skills for navigating social situations and managing their emotions. These toys and books can help children learn to recognize, express, and regulate their feelings, as well as build empathy and social skills. By engaging in imaginative play with toys, kindergarteners can practice social interactions, develop self-awareness, and learn how to handle challenging emotions.
