Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our classroom is a haven for students who have Autism and Emotional Disturbances who become overstimulated and have a difficult time controlling their emotions and body. These behaviors can make it difficult for them to make and maintain friendships. They utilize our calm-down corner and sensory tools.

Our classroom would benefit greatly from new interactive social stories and activities which can be purchased with Teacher Pay Teacher Gift Cards.

TPT has amazing resources for students with special needs. We would really appreciate your help providing new and engaging visuals, social stories, calm-down strategies, and feelings charts to support our students.

Our hope is through social skills teaching and resources, our students will learn to regulate their emotions and respond to social situations in an appropriate way in order to make and maintain friends.
