This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I would like to have some items in my classroom to be used for those students who are seeking more sensory input. The goal is to transform my calm down corner by incorporating a sensory wall. This wall will allow students to manipulate a sequin wall to calm down and meet their sensory needs. in addition, I plan on adding a bin with different texture cards in it for the children to use. During literacy and math, I will use sandpaper numbers and letters to have students practice. This will help them remember those things through touch memory.
